During an altar call at a women’s event, I stepped out for prayer and admitted I felt called to preach but didn’t know what to do next. Judy Kennedy prayed over me and then said, 'I know someone who trains women to preach. If I sponsor your training, can you cover your travel and housing?' God opened the door through her generosity — and Echo Weekend changed my life.

I used social media to really help me fund raise. I posted a couple pictures and wrote my reasoning of why I felt God call me to take a step of faith to go to Echo. I included my cashapp and Venmo usernames and asked people help support me. I had many people send me money that I did not even know. I really believe that God truly blessed me financially to afford it which is how I knew he wanted me to go.

At first, I didn’t feel released to fundraise. I thought I had to do it all myself. But as Echo Weekend got closer, God stirred my heart to ask for help. I posted a simple Venmo link, and within days, friends and even unexpected people gave generously. Because I asked, God provided every need — and I experienced His faithfulness through the kindness of others.

With the help of my mother in law, I baked and sold cakes, asked for loved ones to invest (the first time I applied and the pandemic interrupted). Second time, a friend blessed me with the cost and I blessed a friend to come with what I initially had raised!

And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
