Avoid These Rookies Mistakes When Preaching

Avoid these 4 Rookie Mistakes when Preaching

Ready to elevate your speaking game? Let’s chat about four rookie mistakes you’ll want to sidestep on your journey to becoming an effective communicator of God’s Word.

Distracting Attire

Your message should shine brighter than your outfit. Keep it simple and comfortable. Avoid flashy clothes, noisy jewelry, or anything that might pull attention away from your words. Remember, it’s the message that matters most!

Information Overload

Excited to share all you’ve learned? That’s great! But remember, your audience needs time to digest. Focus on key points and trust that God will provide more opportunities to share your knowledge. Quality over quantity, friends!

Tech Troubles

While technology can be helpful, it can also be a hindrance. Stick to reliable methods like printed notes and a physical Bible. This way, you won’t have to worry about screens freezing or batteries dying mid-message.

Sensory Overload

Keep it simple and focused. You don’t need an elaborate production to make an impact. Choose one primary focus and execute it well. Let your words and God’s presence do the heavy lifting.

Remember, even experienced speakers make mistakes sometimes. It’s all part of the learning process! Embrace those moments and keep growing. After all, God’s got your back every step of the way.

So go forth confidently, speak from the heart, and don’t stress over the small stuff. Your voice matters, and God will use you in amazing ways. Now, go spread that Good News with passion and purpose!

Then the LORD asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the LORD? 12 Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you in what to say.” Exodus 4:11-12

I didn't come from a ministry background, but when I married my husband in 2010 with an Interior Design degree from LSU and no seminary training, he welcomed me into the ministry. In 2012, a prophetic couple told me that I had the anointing of Lydia, and God wanted to use it to funnel millions through the Kingdom by starting online courses and classes. At this time, I had NO dream or even thought of Let’s Echo, but I received the word from the Lord.

Today, I'm witnessing that prophetic word coming true. You are a prophetic word fulfilled and a dream come true!
