Why You Don’t Feel Capable of Communicating the Gospel

Permission to Preach

If you’ve been following Let’s Echo, you know we’re all called to communicate the Gospel. So, why haven’t you taken action yet? Perhaps it’s because you secretly feel incapable. This feeling can be paralyzing, but the truth is, you are more than capable.

Why You Don't Feel Capable of Sharing to Gospel

1. You Don’t Understand the Father’s Affirmation

God wouldn’t call you to something you’re not capable of doing. He doesn’t set you up to fail. In fact, He promises to give you the words to speak (Exodus 4:10-12). God erases your past and affirms your future (2 Corinthians 5:17). He delights in making you strong (Psalm 89:17).

2. You Haven’t Been Taught to Invest in Yourself

In the church, we often expect everything to be free, but investing in yourself is crucial. The Gospel is free, but those who teach and pour into you deserve their wages (1 Timothy 5:18, Luke 10:7). When you invest in yourself, you invest in others, boosting your confidence. Your treasure reflects where your heart is (Matthew 6:21).

3. You Think You Have to Be Born a Speaker

You don’t need to be born a speaker; you can become one. Just as Jesus trained His disciples in thinking, faith, and preaching (Mark 13:4; Luke 9:1-27; Matthew 5-8), you can grow through conferences, courses, coaching, and counseling.

Bottom Line:

You can use your voice for God, even if you don’t have formal education, weren’t born into a ministry family, or aren’t a natural speaker. The key is investing in yourself. That’s why we created The Something to Say Starter Kit, launching in January 2022. This 5-week course will help you confidently answer, “What do I say?” when speaking for God.

Tell us in the comments how you invested in your calling in 2021 and what you plan to do in 2022!

I didn't come from a ministry background, but when I married my husband in 2010 with an Interior Design degree from LSU and no seminary training, he welcomed me into the ministry. In 2012, a prophetic couple told me that I had the anointing of Lydia, and God wanted to use it to funnel millions through the Kingdom by starting online courses and classes. At this time, I had NO dream or even thought of Let’s Echo, but I received the word from the Lord.

Today, I'm witnessing that prophetic word coming true. You are a prophetic word fulfilled and a dream come true!

The Preacher Girl Club empowers women to use their voice for Jesus through our online coaching community, practical courses, and leadership resources. Our members collaborate, speak at each other's events, write content together, and start ministries side by side.

If I can preach, so can you!
