3 Steps to Embrace Your God-Given Assignment

Personal Growth, Pioneers

“Will anyone truly care about what I have to say? I only have a few followers on social media, and I’m not even sure they’re interested.”
“Maybe I’m still not qualified to help others.”
“Who will hear my voice amongst the 1.1 million voices shouting for attention?”

Sound familiar? These are thoughts many of us wrestle with when considering our God-given assignments. I’ve been there, too—doubting, hesitating, and wondering if I’m enough. But guess what? You’re not alone, and God has a plan for you.

Is God Calling You to His Assignment For You?

Maybe God is calling you to love someone, take a new direction, preach a message, or make a sacrifice. Whatever it is, “God assignments” often feel daunting. They can seem overwhelming, impossible, or even unrealistic.

I’ve faced these challenges, sitting at the bottom of an endless staircase. Each step up was uncertain and intimidating. But here’s the key: knowing your role in your assignment and, more importantly, knowing God’s role.

A Model of Leadership - God and Joshua

God and Joshua - Leadership Model

Take the story of Joshua. After Moses died, Joshua led the Israelites into the promised land. It was a massive responsibility, yet God made it clear that Joshua wasn’t alone—God had the bigger part to play.

1. Get in His Presence

Like Joshua, spend time with God. Seek His guidance and allow His presence to strengthen you.

2. Listen to His Voice

Tune in to what God is saying. His directions may not always be easy, but they will always be true.

3. Trust and Obey

Trust that God knows what He’s doing, and take the next step in obedience. Even small steps can lead to significant progress.

Today, I can call myself a published author. More importantly, I can confidently say that God has used that book and the storieso wrote it of the women wh to draw people to him.

So, what’s your next step in your God-given assignment? Comment below, and let’s encourage each other to trust and obey.

I didn't come from a ministry background, but when I married my husband in 2010 with an Interior Design degree from LSU and no seminary training, he welcomed me into the ministry. In 2012, a prophetic couple told me that I had the anointing of Lydia, and God wanted to use it to funnel millions through the Kingdom by starting online courses and classes. At this time, I had NO dream or even thought of Let’s Echo, but I received the word from the Lord.

Today, I'm witnessing that prophetic word coming true. You are a prophetic word fulfilled and a dream come true!

The Preacher Girl Club empowers women to use their voice for Jesus through our online coaching community, practical courses, and leadership resources. Our members collaborate, speak at each other's events, write content together, and start ministries side by side.

If I can preach, so can you!
