Stop Waiting and Start Moving: Step Into Your God-Given Purpose

Permission to Preach

Hear me out: waiting for God to open doors can be a waste of time. While Scripture does mention waiting on God and open doors (Revelation 3:7-8, Isaiah 22:22), the idea that we should always wait for a divine sign before taking action can lead to inaction and missed opportunities.

Waiting Can Lead to Inaction

Growing up in the Church, I was taught to wait—for the right season, the right time, or until leadership released me. But this mindset can lead to stagnation. While spiritual growth is essential, we don’t need to be perfect to get started. Waiting for everything to be perfect is often an excuse that keeps us from stepping into our God-given destiny.

Yes, God opens and closes doors no one can alter, but that doesn’t mean we should sit idly by, waiting for a sign to move forward. Jesus didn’t tell us to wait until conditions were perfect; He said, “GO and make disciples.” (Matthew 28:19).

If we constantly wait for perfect circumstances, we’re wasting precious time. Your destiny won’t just manifest—you have to step into it. This means taking action, making mistakes, and growing along the way. Create your own opportunities, knowing that God has already given you the command through the Great Commission. This empowerment is within your reach, and it’s time to seize it.

Step Boldly Into Your Destiny

Waiting can turn into wandering if you don’t actively pursue your calling. At some point, you must stop waiting and start moving. The door is already open for you to walk through! It’s time to summon your courage and step boldly into the destiny that awaits you.

Questions to Ponder:

    • What if Jesus had waited for permission to preach?
    • What if He waited for someone to invite Him to gather the 12 disciples?
    • Has Jesus already opened the door for you through the Great Commission?

Don’t waste time—take action today!

I didn't come from a ministry background, but when I married my husband in 2010 with an Interior Design degree from LSU and no seminary training, he welcomed me into the ministry. In 2012, a prophetic couple told me that I had the anointing of Lydia, and God wanted to use it to funnel millions through the Kingdom by starting online courses and classes. At this time, I had NO dream or even thought of Let’s Echo, but I received the word from the Lord.

Today, I'm witnessing that prophetic word coming true. You are a prophetic word fulfilled and a dream come true!

The Preacher Girl Club empowers women to use their voice for Jesus through our online coaching community, practical courses, and leadership resources. Our members collaborate, speak at each other's events, write content together, and start ministries side by side.

If I can preach, so can you!
