The One Thing God Builds a Lasting Legacy On

Permission to Preach

God lays a strong foundation before He builds. He wants to do that in you too.

If your foundation is faulty, your message will be too. The foundation God lays in you will help you become the confident woman behind the message. Your message speaks but who you are speaks louder. Do you live out your message?

Before God can trust you with crowds, He tests your character. Character sustains calling.

Before God will give you big opportunities, He will give you small ones. Are you loving the unlovable? Are you the same person on stage as you are in secret? Your character must match your calling. You get to work daily to life in such a way that is worthy of the Good News.

Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for the faith, which is the Good News. Philippians 1:27 NLT

Chameleons Compromise

One of the tough conversations I find myself having with many aspiring communicators surrounds the issue of consistency.

The Chameleon compromise is to act a certain way around certain people or groups and then be a completely different person when interacting with other groups or individuals.

We can convince ourselves that this is “people skills” or being gracious! This default behavior causes you to change who you are to fit whatever situation you find yourself in for the moment so you can feel accepted or popular. (So sneaky!) Though you may see some initial fruit from this type of behavior, in the long term, you will lose respect for yourself and sabotage your ability to have a voice of truth and authenticity in your speaking.

One of the most important connections you need to see is between how you interact privately and how you speak publicly.

Being two different persons will cause you to doubt yourself and will cause others to subconsciously pick up on inauthenticity when you speak.  Overcome the chameleon compromise by loving yourself enough to be the same person no matter what company you find yourself in. This is the real key to others accepting you.

I send out the same urgent request to you as Paul sent the Ephesians:

Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Ephesians 4:1 NLT

To become the woman God has called you to be here are three practical steps:

  1. Be proud of your purity. Do not let anyone peer pressure you into breaking your convictions. As you stand up for purity when no one can see you, you will preach with power when people can see you.

  2. Allow the leaders in your life to bring correction to you. You will make mistakes and give into temptation at times. The grace of God will call you to repentance. Let your leaders know and receive their correction when you get off track.

  3. Stay Humble. Continue to humble yourself before God in prayer and He will lift you up. God is the opportunity giver. Trust Him to open doors for you no man can shut.

I didn't come from a ministry background, but when I married my husband in 2010 with an Interior Design degree from LSU and no seminary training, he welcomed me into the ministry. In 2012, a prophetic couple told me that I had the anointing of Lydia, and God wanted to use it to funnel millions through the Kingdom by starting online courses and classes. At this time, I had NO dream or even thought of Let’s Echo, but I received the word from the Lord.

Today, I'm witnessing that prophetic word coming true. You are a prophetic word fulfilled and a dream come true!

The Preacher Girl Club empowers women to use their voice for Jesus through our online coaching community, practical courses, and leadership resources. Our members collaborate, speak at each other's events, write content together, and start ministries side by side.

If I can preach, so can you!
