Theology Made Simple: A Journey to Worship

Biblical Literacy

When you hear “theology,” you might picture scholars in seminary or feel a wave of boredom. But theology isn’t just for the intellectual elite—it’s for anyone with a curious heart. Theology, simply put, is the study of God. It’s about exploring who God is and how we can know Him better.

Biblical Literacy - Theology Made Simple: A Journey to Worship

What is Theology?

Theology = The Study of God. Simple, right? Understanding that theology means “the study of God” should spark curiosity and a desire to know more. When you commit to learning, God meets you right where you are, revealing Himself to you.

As my mentor, Mark Chironna, beautifully puts it, “Theology is a craft. When done well, it’s sheer and glorious artistry that leads to the unabashed worship of the Triune God. Done poorly, it fosters arrogance, pride, and division.” Theology should inspire worship, not division.

Why Study Theology?

Theology isn’t just an academic exercise; it’s a journey into the awe and majesty of God. The more we know about God—His greatness, His boundless love—the more we are moved to worship Him. Theology reveals God’s beauty in Jesus, stirring our hearts to give Him glory.

The True Purpose of Theology

The ultimate goal of theology is worship. It’s not about doctrine, being “right,” or condemning others. If your study of God doesn’t lead you to worship, something’s wrong. Delve into mysteries like the Incarnation, and you’ll find yourself in awe, compelled to worship the God who became flesh to redeem us.

So, commit to being a lifelong student of theology, letting your studies draw you into a deeper worship of Jesus.

Let’s Pray Together

Lord, give me a heart to study You, as revealed in Jesus. Let this knowledge humble, inspire, and lead me to worship. Amen.

Happy Studying,

I didn't come from a ministry background, but when I married my husband in 2010 with an Interior Design degree from LSU and no seminary training, he welcomed me into the ministry. In 2012, a prophetic couple told me that I had the anointing of Lydia, and God wanted to use it to funnel millions through the Kingdom by starting online courses and classes. At this time, I had NO dream or even thought of Let’s Echo, but I received the word from the Lord.

Today, I'm witnessing that prophetic word coming true. You are a prophetic word fulfilled and a dream come true!

The Preacher Girl Club empowers women to use their voice for Jesus through our online coaching community, practical courses, and leadership resources. Our members collaborate, speak at each other's events, write content together, and start ministries side by side.
