Check your Circle!

Helpful Resources

You can only go as far as your closest relationships. You gotta check your circle!

When it comes to speaking for God this is no different. The people you surround yourself with are the front door to your destiny. You will never outrun or outperform the people with whom you are in close relationship with. You may have heard that you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with but deep down don’t think this really applies to your life.

We all like to hold on to comfortable relationships from our past, but in the fear of stepping out into something unknown, stay locked in with the very people who keep us from becoming who we so desperately want to become.

We sacrifice fulfillment for familiarity every day.

Values over Feelings

When it comes to the relationships in our life, we have to begin with values and not feelings. Instead of asking how people make you feel or what they can contribute to your life at the moment, I want to challenge you to examine their values. In last week’s content, we talked about the growth mindset.

Do the people around you have a high value for growing and changing into the person they are called to be in Christ?

Do they encourage you to step out and change? Do they rejoice when you make a big change in your life and position yourself for greater achievement? What about the purity mindset? Are your closest friends committed to purity before God in morality and motives? Do they cheer you on in using your voice for God?

As you can see, there is much to be evaluated in this simple arena of values that will help you determine if you are aligned with the right relationships or allowing yourself to be held back by the familiarity of relationships that are not reflective of who you want to be and where you want to go.

Beehive of Action

The kind of people you need to build a strong and close relationship with are people who have the values you want to have and also exemplify a life of action. These are the people who quickly run with a vision, run ahead of where the pack may be, run with greater intensity than the normal person, and run with the endurance that carries them forward when everyone else is quitting. This is the type of action you need to have around you! In my life, I have had people who were “runners” all around me who pushed me to go faster and further than I thought possible. I have also had people who just took the easy way and “went with the flow”. The seasons of my life spent with this crowd led to disappointment and ultimately a feeling of lost time and regret. Don’t make that mistake! Don’t live in dream land but take charge and make your life a beehive of action!

Look for other women of action and become a woman of action yourself.  Check your circle. Are you running with women of action? Do they keep God’s Word and their own?!

Bottom line:

This week we are talking about your relationships. Just as I told you last week you can change, I believe a big part of this is your ability to change your relationships. You don’t have to discard your present relationships and be rude or dismissive to those you have long-standing relationships with. Simply decide to be intentional and find people who share similar values, take action toward their dreams, and compliment you in their strengths. Give these people time. Make an effort to become close to them.

Surround yourself with women of their word and give them priority in your life and you will reap great fulfillment and fastrack your destiny!

I didn't come from a ministry background, but when I married my husband in 2010 with an Interior Design degree from LSU and no seminary training, he welcomed me into the ministry. In 2012, a prophetic couple told me that I had the anointing of Lydia, and God wanted to use it to funnel millions through the Kingdom by starting online courses and classes. At this time, I had NO dream or even thought of Let’s Echo, but I received the word from the Lord.

Today, I'm witnessing that prophetic word coming true. You are a prophetic word fulfilled and a dream come true!

The Preacher Girl Club empowers women to use their voice for Jesus through our online coaching community, practical courses, and leadership resources. Our members collaborate, speak at each other's events, write content together, and start ministries side by side.
